A time in the church calendar, forty days before Easter, a time for self-examinations and drawing closer to the LORD Jesus Christ. Was reading a Lenten devotional from Rabbit Room. I was reminded of my sin. Our Pastor is preaching on the Ten Commandments. I was reminded of a different sin. This song is floating around in my brain and soul. Then last night I heard it played on Air 1. I thought I had only heard it on You Tube music by Brandon Lake.

The chorus is so appropriate for Lent and self-examination. “My sin was deep, Your grace was deeper, My shame was wide, Your arms were wider, My guilt was great, Your love was greater still. Based upon Ephesians For this reason I kneel before the Father, ¹⁵ from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. ¹⁶ I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, ¹⁷ so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, ¹⁸ may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, ¹⁹ and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:14-19
